Key Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic tests, and creating customized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, and chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or autonomously, depending on your credentials
- Guiding patients and their families on health maintenance, preventive measures, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies as per the regulatory framework
- Engaging in ongoing patient follow-up and chronic care services
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee integrated, patient-focused care
- Meticulously documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education and Certification Requirements - Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
Necessary Credentials - Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire these within 90 days)
