Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Cardiothoracic Surgeon to serve as the Surgical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program , providing strategic leadership and advancing excellence in surgical care, program growth, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the surgical component of the Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director, heart failure cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Perform heart transplants, LVAD implantations, and other advanced cardiac surgical procedures.
• Oversee surgical protocols, quality metrics, and program development initiatives.
• Participate in recruitment, mentorship, and education of surgical staff and trainees.
• Engage in research, clinical trials, and academic activities as desired.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Significant experience in heart transplantation and durable/temporary MCS implantation.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and track record of excellence in surgical outcomes and program development.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
• Commitment to advancing innovation, research, and education in advanced heart failure and transplantation.
• Unrestricted full Texas licensed (or eligible)
