Advanced Materials Technologies , the leader in aftermarket aerospace component repair services, is looking for a CNC Setup Machinist to join their team in Chandler, AZ

If you are a CNC Setup Machinist with 3+ years of experience , then AMT wants to hear from you! 5-axis, horizontal, and/or vertical experience is a huge plus!

  • 1 st shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm
  • 2 nd shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) according to specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and workholding devices.
• Load and verify CNC programs (G-code) and make necessary edits.
• Set tool and work offsets; establish machine zero/reference points.
• Run test parts and perform first article inspections.
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.) to inspect parts.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve required tolerances.
• Troubleshoot setup or production issues and make necessary corrections.
• Ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and quality inspectors.
• Document setup sheets, inspection results, and production notes.
• Provide training or guidance to operators or junior machinists.
