Rockaway Compounding Pharmacy Team is looking for our Next Team Member:

Responsibilities:

The Technician is primarily responsible for working with the PIC or Pharmacist on Duty to manage workflow and daily operations of the Pharmacy.
Responsible for working at the prescription intake counter, receiving and typing new prescriptions and processing refills. Ability to fill in competently at all other non-pharmacist positions, as needed. Assist the PIC in making purchasing decisions and managing inventory.
Work under the supervision of the PIC to schedule all technicians, cashiers and students to meet the needs of the store. Responsible for orientating and training new staff.
Ability to resolve minor problems and recognize when to involve upper management. Ability to prioritize, organize and stay on-task. Responsible for compliance with work place policies and procedures.
Assist with the opening and closing of retail location. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workplace for co-workers and customers.
Follow compounding formulas and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to prescription requirements.
Communicate in a friendly, patient and professional manner. Present a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code. Must be flexible and responsive to perform these and other duties as assigned.
Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and pharmacy regulations.
Maintain proper documentation for regulatory and inspection purposes.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in retail or pharmacy setting a plus, but not required ( ideally in a compounding pharmacy setting).
Must be willing to learn.
Must project a professional image and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is highly preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic math and computer skills.
Available to work on Saturdays ( 10 AM to 1 PM).
