Job Description

If every company is a media company, Nota makes that real.

We believe storytelling is the operating system of modern business. Nota is building the infrastructure to support that future across industries, platforms, and formats. From the largest media companies in the world to fast-moving sports networks, global content engines, and SMBs trying to turn internal knowledge into external growth, Nota is powering a new era of intelligent, automated, and adaptive content.

We’re looking for a Director of Product who sees the big picture and wants to help draw it.

This is not a verticalized role. It’s not about incremental improvements. This is about defining a horizontal product architecture that supports the growing need for scalable, platform-aware storytelling. Whether the user is a newsroom, a marketing team, a PR shop, or a one-person comms function inside a startup, you will help architect the core engine behind how modern organizations communicate with the world.

If you’re obsessed with impact, excited to build systems that unlock creativity and clarity at scale, and ready to be at the leading edge of AI-driven content, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the product leader driving Nota’s cross-industry vision, reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and working closely with the CEO
  • Lead product strategy and execution for Nota’s ecosystem of AI-powered solutions, from content creation and optimization to distribution, search, and automation
  • Build and scale a product team that supports both self-service users and enterprise clients with complex workflows
  • Partner with engineering, data science, and design to define intuitive, flexible, and intelligent user experiences
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to translate Nota’s agentic product thesis into a long-term roadmap that balances present needs with future ambitions.
  • Identify patterns across customer cohorts to develop foundational features that work across domains, not just within them
  • Create systems that allow for extensibility, customization, and embedded intelligence so every product release makes it easier for any company to act like a world-class media company
  • Guide and mentor product managers as we scale the team around Nota’s fastest-growing opportunities including broadcast, publishing, sports, and SaaS.
  • Own the strategic relationship between product and marketing to ensure every product decision is also a story worth telling.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with some of that time focused on SaaS, AI, enterprise software, or platform architecture
  • A clear understanding of modern content workflows, current tools and the benefits and problems with them
  • You know your way around AI and ML including LLMs, search, voice, vision and associated products
  • Proven ability to drive products from concept to launch and iterate based on impact.
  • Experience working directly with engineers and designers to make complex systems usable and intuitive
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, setting clear vision, and turning ambiguity into action.
  • Comfortable in high-speed environments, motivated by big thinking and real outcomes
  • Experience scaling a startup or leading product through a major market expansion

Why Now? Why Nota?

Nota is at a tipping point. Our products already power thousands of journalists, editors, and communicators. We’ve signed major media and enterprise partners. We are expanding into sports, SaaS, Infrastructure and more. The product is working, and the market is pulling.

You’ll be joining a team of builders, thinkers, and media veterans who are passionate about reinvention and committed to precision. This role is critical to the company’s future and offers the opportunity to shape both product and strategy at a defining moment.

Location: Remote, but strong preference for Los Angeles
