Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for an Electrical 3D Designer with 5+ years experience in building information modeling (BIM) who is interested in filling a critical position in a rapidly expanding electrical design team. The Electrical 3D Designer will be responsible for creating precise and innovative 3D designs and models, focusing on electrical systems and layouts. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed and accurate 3D models and collaborating with team members to ensure seamless integration. MUST BE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES.
Qualifications
•\tSoftware proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 and Navisworks. Autodesk certifications are a plus.
•\tCapacity to work in a cloud model, with many linked 2D and 3D models for design, documentation, and construction phases.
•\tAptitude to create and maintain 3D models of electrical systems and components, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
•\tCapability to draft and model based on pdf markups provided by engineers. Ability to review and understand construction drawings.
•\tKnowledge base to develop modeling standards and best practices, with the inclination to mentor and lead others.
•\tProficiency to identify design clashes, coordination items and troubleshoot model issues.
•\tDrafting design experience in disciplines including power, data, and controls.
•\tExpertise to create and edit Revit schedules and families.
•\tExcellent communication and teamwork capabilities to coordinate across design disciplines, with a willingness to collaborate internally and externally across design groups.
•\tWork independently in an efficient manner.
•\tAbility to adapt, ask questions and grow as part of an innovative and emerging team.
