We are currently accepting resumes for an Event Planner position in Columbus, OH This position is onsite Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends Job Summary We are looking for a highly organized, creative, and results-driven Event Planner to join our team. In this role, you will lead the coordination and execution of a wide range of events, ensuring every detail is meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating exceptional experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong communication, problem-solving, and client service skills to every project. Responsibilities Event Coordination & Execution: Plan, organize, and execute corporate, social, and nonprofit events from concept to completion. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their vision, goals, and budget to deliver strategic event solutions. Vendor Management: Identify, secure, and manage vendors (venues, caterers, A/V, decor, entertainment, etc.), ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services. Logistics & Time Management: Develop event timelines, floor plans, run-of-show documents, and contingency plans to ensure seamless execution. On-Site Event Management: Lead on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown. proactively solve issues and deliver exceptional experiences for clients and guests. Post-Event Evaluation: Collect feedback, create post-event reports, and recommend areas for improvement for future events. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of proven success in event planning, with a strong focus on corporate event planning, hospitality, or a related field. A bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Confident communicator with strong client service orientation. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Experience managing event budgets and negotiating vendor contracts. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and adaptability. Proficiency in event planning tools such as Google Suite, Social Tables, Microsoft Office, Cvent, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms.
