Job Title: Financial Accounting Consultant
Length of Assignment: 1 year
Department: Global Shared Services (Finance)
Location: Austin, TX
Annual Salary Range: $89k-$120k
Schedule: Full Time/ Hybrid

Summary

The Financial Accounting consultant will review existing accounting processes, identify gaps, recommend improvements and work as part of the ERP implementation team to define and implement future state functionality.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Gain an understanding of and document existing revenue, project accounting, fixed assets and general accounting processes as well as pain points.

· Review existing reporting being utilized, identify gaps and define requirements for new reporting or improvements to existing reports.

· Work cross-functionally and globally to understand end to end processes and identify differences in processes between regions.

· Lead and analyze business needs to help ensure ERP solution meets objectives by combining industry standard processes, ERP knowledge, and judgement.

· Collaborate with technical teams to communicate requirements and evaluate solutions.

· Develop test scenarios, scripts, test plans and execute test plans to ensure system functionality meets business requirements.

· Project Management including project planning and execution, managing project tasks and deadlines and communication of project status to stakeholders.

· Business process experience in the following areas: Project Accounting, Fixed Assets and Revenue Accounting.

· Familiarity with IFRS; specific experience with IFRS15 and IFRS16, preferred.

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines.

· Relationship builder with strong influencing and negotiation skills who prefers a collaborative work environment.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Education and/or Experience

· BS in Accounting or related field.

· 5 - 8 years of experience in similar role.

· Experience with ERP implementation

Language Skills

· Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Computer Skills

· Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with advanced Excel skills required

· Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system

· Experience with HFM or similar reporting/consolidation application.

Pay Details: $89,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
