We are seeking an exceptional leader and rowing coach, excited by the challenge of transforming the lives of young people in less advantaged communities through access to a competitive rowing program. Building on the initial success of Infinity Boat Club, a charity which started its rowing activities in 2023, the new CEO will take over from the retiring CEO. The new CEO will lead the club through the next stage of its development; growing the number of athletes, advancing their rowing skills and deepening the support provided to them and their families. Working with local schools, Infinity Boat Club targets young people in the Middlesbrough/Stockton-on-Tees area in the age range 13-18. The founders of the Infinity Boat Club believe rowing is a sport that can form and transform the character, resilience, and health of young people through the skills, teamwork, physical activity, and personal disciplines it fosters. The club aspires for its athletes to develop capabilities such that they are competitive in races with the top schools’ programs across the UK. As CEO, you will need to be value-driven with a passion for providing the leadership to refine the strategy, develop the team, and deliver the program. You will act as the lead ambassador for the club, setting our culture, developing our profile, and leading key partnerships. You will be supported by a skilled Board of Trustees with funding to provide new life opportunities through a comprehensive rowing program to over 200 young people at a time from 13 to 18 years old at the club’s fully equipped boathouse and gym on the River Tees. As CEO you will have skills and experience to lead a small, dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers in implementing the club’s strategic goals. You will be an experienced rowing coach, with a track record of success and capability to not only effectively coach junior crews but to develop the broader coaching team. You will be strongly motivated and ideally have a knowledge of effective strategic leadership and operational management gained in prior roles. If you are excited by the opportunity and believe you have the skills and experience to lead Infinity Boat Club, please apply by sending a CV and covering letter for the attention of Kary Van Der Horst (khorst@smpeel.com). Applications are encouraged as soon as possible and not later than 4 May 2025. Salary: £50-70k depending on experience Type: Full time Application Dates: From Wednesday 26th March 2025 to Sunday 4th May 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr British Rowing
