Responsibilities

  • Contact leads promptly and appropriately as set forth by the company.
  • Manage and maintain a book of business within the health plan sales system.
  • Taking daily inbound calls over the phone to individuals to discuss health plans.
  • Talk about the benefits of healthcare programs offered by insurance companies.
  • Comparing the client's eligibility to meet the Medicare requirements.
  • Explain various policies' features, advantages, and disadvantages to promote sales.
  • Calculate premiums and establish payment methods.
  • Support, develop, and maintain relationships with all customers.
  • Utilize necessary resources and navigate systems efficiently to verify and provide accurate information to prospects.
  • Ability to remain confidential with all proprietary information.
  • Follow all NationsBenefits, HIPAA, and MCO / Medicare guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management based on business demands.
  • Complete training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and position.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cohesive team and take the initiative when needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Professional presentation and demeanor
  • Empathetic and compassionate care attitude and demeanor
  • An ever-positive attitude and patience, with a strong personal drive to help people.
  • Broad knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting a sales quota, preferably over the phone.
  • Computer literacy, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Fluency in two or more languages is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred
  • Have a valid state Florida resident 2-40 or 2-15 License
  • 2+ years as a telesales representative or other sales/customer service role

Work Schedule:

  • Training schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm EST (4 weeks facilitated & 1 week of nesting)
  • Work schedules: Monday - Friday, 11:30am - 9:00pm EST
  • Overtime & weekend work may be available upon request
