Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide ongoing support to multiple attorneys, with an expected commitment of up to 20 hours a week. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage a demanding workload while performing well under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment are essential. The successful candidate should be able to follow directions closely and also work independently on assigned tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of litigation case management, including file organization, discovery, and trial-related activities
  • Implement and maintain a case calendaring system to track deadlines and filings.
  • Utilize existing processes or establish new procedures for efficient document organization and retrieval
  • Assist in discovery and provide support for witness preparation
  • Draft, review, and/or analyze legal documents; conduct legal research under attorney supervision
  • Create e-binders from deposition outlines, and prepare exhibits, labels, and exhibit stickers for depositions
  • Provide support on special projects as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be located on the East Coast.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as a litigation paralegal in an Amlaw 100 firm or a specialized litigation practice firm; Corporate/Commercial Litigation preferred or IP Litigation.
  • Strong background in discovery and trial preparation.
  • Experience preparing for and attending depositions and hearings.
  • Experience implementing processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files.
  • Experience using e-discovery databases (e.g. Relativity, Nuix Discover).
  • Proficient with Westlaw and Adobe Acrobat in a legal setting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with cite-checking and Bluebook rules preferred
  • BS/BA from an accredited college required
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
