Principal Software Developer – AI & Web Applications About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Developer to shape our next-generation AI-powered content platform. This platform enables authors, teachers, and professors to create dynamic learning experiences through AI, assessments, asset management, APIs, and scalable content delivery. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be a hands-on technical leader with expertise in front-end development, full-stack web applications, and AI integration. You will influence architecture, collaborate across teams, and lead by example to ensure our platform is innovative and scalable. What You’ll Do Lead & Direct : Provide technical leadership, aligning engineering efforts with AI integration and scalability. Architect & Build : Design and implement AI-driven web applications using modern frameworks (React, TypeScript, APIs). Drive AI Integration : Develop AI solutions for content generation, automation, and ML workflows. Work with Modern AI Tools : Use tools like Crew.AI, Cursor.AI, OpenAI, LangChain, and others to innovate. Cross-Team Collaboration : Partner with multiple engineering teams to ensure alignment and early risk detection. Problem-Solve & Align : Balance business priorities with technical scalability and developer experience. Guide & Influence : Lead discussions and design reviews on architecture and AI strategy. Communicate Clearly : Simplify complex AI and engineering concepts for stakeholders. Document & Diagram : Create technical documentation and architectural diagrams for maintainability.
