Job Description Job Description Project Manager Engagement Type : Contract (Duration: 7-8 months) Location : Garden City, New York Reports To : Director Development We are seeking a tenacious Project Manager (Contractor) to support a software development project entering its final stages, focusing on stakeholder communication, release readiness, and launch execution. This role requires strong expertise in communication management and organizational change management to ensure smooth deployment and adoption across the organization. This role is pivotal in fostering workforce engagement, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external teams. Key Responsibilities Communication Management: Serve as the spokesperson for the project, creating energy and enthusiasm within the workforce. Develop and distribute weekly communications to employees, highlighting upcoming milestones and what's in store next week. Maintain transparency and clarity in all project-related messaging. Organizational Change Management: Design and execute strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the new system. Conduct readiness assessments and manage stakeholder expectations. Support training and engagement activities to prepare the workforce for transition. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Executive Leadership Team, IT, and external partners. Act as the liaison between internal teams and the external vendor to resolve issues and manage risks. Project Leadership & Coordination: Act as the internal lead for the case management system rewrite project. Work hand-in-hand with the external partner's Project Manager to align timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. Coordinate internal project resources across business units and technical teams. Governance & Reporting: Provide regular status updates to leadership and maintain accurate project documentation. Ensure compliance with internal standards and governance frameworks. Qualifications Experience: 5 years of project management experience, including large-scale technology implementations. Proven success in managing vendor relationships and cross-functional teams. Preference given to individuals with experience in Alternate Dispute Resolution, or within the Legal industry. Technical & Professional Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences at all levels within an organization. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Demonstrates persistence in overcoming obstacles and remains focused on project objectives during periods of uncertainty or challenge. Familiarity with Organizational Change Management frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR). Behavioral Competencies: Influential leader with high emotional intelligence. Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Maintains composure and effectiveness under pressure, adapting quickly to changing priorities and setbacks. Skilled in balancing strategic vision with operational execution.
