The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing complex electrical construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals and specifications are met.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).

  • Supervise and mentor junior project managers, engineers, and field personnel.

  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.

  • Prepare and present regular project updates, financial reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders.

  • Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors; negotiate contracts and manage relationships.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and delays through proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 7–10+ years of electrical project management experience, preferably in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.

  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with budget control and financial reporting.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
