Job Description Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the Manufacturing Engineering function, with a primary focus on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated production equipment and systems. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and vision systems, and the ability to lead complex automation initiatives from concept through deployment. Act as a representative of Manufacturing Engineering to support new product introduction and manufacturing automation strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. May have direct technician reporting structure. May influentially lead engineers.
Job Duties \n - Drive operations and new product/process development activities
\n - Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated production equipment and manufacturing systems, ensuring solutions meet operational performance, quality, and safety requirements.
\n - Provide technical expertise in mechanical design, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLC programming, and machine vision technologies to support automation initiatives.
\n - Drive system changes (GWIs, GSOP forms) and business systems (Line Balance, work content tools)
\n - Mentor/Lead the validation of equipment and processes as required (IQ, OQ, PQ)
\n - Mentor and implement capacity planning, cost improvement and
facilities layout for equipment moves and additions \n - Perform operator training for new and existing processes
\n - Lead discussions with resources such as suppliers and Olympus sites to resolve technical issues or improve processes or products
\n - Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities. Innovate and implement process improvement activities
\n - Leadership of cross functional project teams
\n - Review prints for new and existing products
\n - Follows GWI's, GSOP and owns MP's to ensure control of
product/process design \n - Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications Required: \n - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in science or engineering discipline.
\n - Minimum of 5 years' experience.
\n - Applied experience using LEAN and Six Sigma tools.
\n - Leadership and mentoring capabilities with statistical analysis.
\n - Ability to work well/Lead multiple cross functional teams.
\n - Proficient technical writing skills.
\n - Experience with leading risk management documentation.
\n - Proficient time management skills.
\n - Demonstrated fixture and tooling experience.
\n - CAD experience.
\n - Supervision of technical resources.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $93,793.00 - $126,621.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
