General Summary:

You will be joining the Linux Image team, working on triaging and debugging software failures and stability issues on Android on our mobile MSM chipset family. Tasks include:

1. Triaging software failures on the Android software stack.
2. Investigating and debugging stability problems identified by test teams.
3. Identifying, verifying, and propagating fixes for software failures.
4. Working closely with development teams to support the fix process.
5. Collaborating with Android software leads to resolve issues gating commercial launches.
6. Supporting teams outside Android on dependencies.
7. Assisting customers to resolve launch-gating issues when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven ability and interest in debugging complex embedded software systems.
• Strong background in Computer Science and fundamentals of debugging embedded software.
• Good working knowledge of C, C++, and Java.
• Strong problem-solving skills in non-linear scenarios.
• Prior experience with Android and/or Qualcomm MSM platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of Wireless Applications and Network Interactions with Handsets is highly desired.
• Experience developing and debugging Android applications is highly desired.
• Experience with git and Android build systems is highly desired.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Interpersonal skills for collaborative problem-solving across disciplines.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience, OR
• Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, OR
• PhD in related fields.

Pay Range and Benefits:

$111,300.00 - $166,900.00 plus annual bonus and RSU grants. Benefits include a comprehensive package supporting your success at work and home. Contact your recruiter for more details.
