Job Title: SMT Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and setting up SMT machines, specifically MyData/Mycronic/MyCenter. This role requires a technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up SMT machines, including MyData/Mycronic/MyCenter.
• Conduct machine setup and tear down activities.
• Support the lead SMT Operator in daily tasks.
• Inspect machine-placed components for accuracy.
• Examine solder paste print quality.
• Read and follow written instructions and interpret diagrams.
• Critically think and troubleshoot issues as they occur.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience running an SMT Machine.
• Technical aptitude demonstrated through hobbies or work experience.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English for clear communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and 10-key operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• IPC Certification is a plus.
• One year of stock room and inventory experience.
• Cycle counting and inventory control skills.
• Customer service skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
