Do you like to play in the snow? The seasons are changing, and snow is just around the corner. Maple Leaf is currently hiring for snow clearing positions. Our Walk Clearing Team cleans snow off of walkways at commercial and residential locations using shovels and snow blowers. Qualified candidates must be dependable and available at various times of the day or night depending on weather conditions. Must be able to work several hours at a time depending on the amount of snow. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Seasonal November until April, but success in these roles can lead to spring/summer opportunities! Shoveler/Snow Blower Operator: Must be able to remove snow from sidewalks at residential and commercial properties using shovels, snow blowers and other various snow removal equipment to clear sidewalks. Must keep all entry and exit doors clear of snow. Be able to lift 50 lb salt bags for deicing of commercial walkways. Must clear sidewalks full width.

$18.00 TO $22.00

Duties and Responsibility

• Must be available 24/7 unless prior notification of time off has been requested and given to management.
• Must be able to do equipment/vehicle check list checking lights, oil, and other things prior to event.
• Must be able to remove snow as specified in above job description.
• Must be willing to be a team player and check in upon completing work to see if anyone else needs help.
• Maintain a good driving record and attendance record.
• Must arrive promptly at specified time for work shift.
• Must fill out job sheets and times for each completed job.
• Must be able to work well with others and communicate cordially with your co-workers.
• Must operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Must be aware of upcoming weather conditions.
• At the end of snowfall, must be able to fuel equipment, clean out garbage from trucks, turn in route sheet.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Must dress appropriately for extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to operate equipment safely.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our location.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Good attendance and workmanship could lead to employment during the spring, summer and fall months April through November doing lawn maintenance, landscape, fertilization/weed control.
