Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee is seeking a passionate, responsible, and hardworking Store Manager for our DC location.

Our Store Managers set the pace for our shops. They maintain store standards and operations. They are team-builders and mentors. They are problem-solvers and free-thinkers. Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in training and mentorship.
• A lead-by-example approach.
• Attention to detail.
• Adherence to high-quality and consistent standards.
• Ability to multitask with ease.
• Impeccable cash handling skills.
• Proficiency with financials.
• Management of labor utilization and inventory.
• Great communication skills.
• Open to criticism and constantly striving to improve.
• Retail/food management experience is highly desired.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Team-building, mentorship, and management of employees.
• Lead and direct the activities of the cafe.
• Create an exceptional gelato and coffee experience.
• Schedule labor.
• Maintain standards of operations, customer service, and cleanliness.
• Support brand and marketing initiatives within the shop.
• Attend regular meetings with the Regional Manager and training staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with staff.
• Be a Brand Ambassador.

• $55-65k/ year salary depending on experience and qualifications.

Dolcezza is a wild dream and the love story of Violeta and Robb. An Argentine girl met an American boy in the Amazon Jungle. Their 3 month odyssey across Brazil finalized in a Buenos Aires gelateria. That night the idea was born to bring Argentine gelato to America. In 2004, Violeta and Robb founded Dolcezza in Washington, DC. Today, Dolcezza serves Argentine Gelato in 6 shops, 100 restaurants and 2000 grocery stores throughout the country. Our gelato is regarded by many, including Saveur, Bon Appetit, Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, to be among the very best in the country.

About Dolcezza Gelato:

The idea for Dolcezza was birthed in Buenos Aires in the year 2000, that first, warm humid night in South America, under the lights at the popular gelato shop, Freddo. Robb & Violeta had just landed in Buenos Aires, after an epic journey, which began in the Brazilian Amazon and finished 3 months and 4,000 miles later in So Paulo. To say that possibility was ripe is an understatement, the idea came from a moment in time when the engines of synchronicity revved loudly. We opened our doors in Georgetown in July 2004 without having ever made one batch of gelato, we just knew we wanted to create something with our own hands, something we would be proud of and something delicious, and we did. Today, Dolcezza serves Argentine gelato in 6 shops, 100 restaurants and 2500 grocery stores throughout the country. Our gelato is regarded by many, including Saveur, Bon Appetit, Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, to be among the very best in the country.
