Tax Manager
Location: Goodyear, AZ 

Type: Full-time, In-person with remote flexibility

We are a growing accounting firm with offices in Page, AZ, and Goodyear, AZ, seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our team in Goodyear, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to advance their career in accounting, finance, or advisory. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tax services for both individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with tax laws while maximizing results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and/or review tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including federal, state, and local tax filings, tax planning, estimated payments, and extensions.
• Provide tax services for client engagements, including corporate, partnership, and individual tax advice.
• Develop, plan, and implement tax strategies while researching potential tax issues.
• Field client inquiries related to tax returns, financial statements, and other tax-related matters.
• Assist clients in resolving disputes with tax authorities, including audits and notices.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Tax Directors on special projects.
• Analyze client operations and provide recommendations to improve tax efficiency.
• Manage high-volume workloads effectively, ensuring timely delivery of results.
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment and support colleagues when needed.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
• CPA license or candidacy (preferred).
• 5-10 years of public accounting or tax return preparation experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and provide exceptional client service.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (1-3 years preferred).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary: $80,000 - $110,000, based on experience.
• Flexible schedule, with Fridays off during off-season months (April 16th - August 15th and October - January 15th).
