Position: Technical Writer

Location: Durham, NC

Pay: $21/hour

Experience: 3 years or more of technical/SOP writing experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field is preferred.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Greene Resources is seeking a Technical Writer to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Create or revise product SOPs for RMA work.
• Creates, edits, and publishes documentation related to products, services, and processes.
• Analyze existing and potential SOPs, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Researches topics, writes documents, and edits their work for publication.
• Communicates complex technical information in a clear and concise manner – Written and visually.
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Create and maintain the information architecture.
• Other assignments as needed to support overall business needs.

Position Requirements:

• Proven working experience in technical writing of IT documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to deliver high-quality documentation, paying attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
• Excellent written skills in English.
