Role: Technical writer

Location: Charlotte, NC / Dallas TX onsite

JD:

• 8-10 years of experience in Technical Writing, creating various forms of documentation including user manuals, installation guides, online help content, technical specifications, process documentation, and developer blogs.
• Researching and gathering information: Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, developers, and other internal teams to understand complex products or concepts and translate them into easily understandable documentation.
• Experience in creating outlines, using content management tools, and employing visual aids like diagrams and illustrations to present information clearly and logically.
• Extensively experience in Writing and editing, crafting clear, concise, and grammatically correct content, adhering to established style guides and ensuring technical accuracy.
• The ability to grasp technical concepts, understand software development processes, and potentially read code to document accurately.
• Accuracy in both grammar and technical information, punctuation, style, and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences are crucial.
• Ensure existing documentation is kept current to reflect changes in products or technologies.
• Work closely with product management, engineering, QA, and client services teams to ensure documentation reflects the product accurately and meets user needs.
• Experience with documentation publishing software, content management systems (CMS), and authoring tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, gather information, and integrate feedback is essential.
