ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Watertown, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

\n\nSchedule\n

12-hour nights, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend, holiday, and call shifts are required.

\n\nJob Description\n

The PCU RN is responsible for providing quality patient care, assessing patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in stressful situations. The RN will also recognize safety issues and implement measures to ensure safe patient handling.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit.
\n
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and develop care plans accordingly.
\n
• Implement and document patient care interventions.
\n
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
\n
• May assume duties as a charge nurse when required.
\n
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
\n
• Current NYS RN license.
\n
• At least 1 successful traveler assignment completed; new travelers will not be considered.
\n
• Current critical care experience preferred.
\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
\n
• IV and IV contrast certification required.
\n
• Completion of a coronary care course or successful challenge exam during the orientation period.
\n
• Basic lethal dysrhythmia certification to be completed within six months of employment.
\n
• NIHSS certification within the first six months of employment.
\n
