Talent4Health is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Meridian, Idaho.

Department: Respiratory Therapy (with NICU coverage)

General Information

• Average Treatments per Day: 25–28 during an 8-hour shift
• Certifications Required:
  • Mandatory: RRT (CRT not accepted)
  • Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • For NICU: NRP required

Patient Population

• Units Covered: NICU Level IIB, MICU, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
• Additional Areas: PACU, Overnight Oximetry, ER, and all inpatient floors
• Hospital Coverage: ER + all inpatient units

Experience / Skill Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must be comfortable floating between all specialties: ICU, MICU, Med-Surg/Telemetry, ER, etc.
• Preferred:
  • Level II NICU experience
  • Comfortable attending deliveries and initiating CPAP
  • Pediatric ER experience (stabilization and transfer)
• First-time travelers accepted

Job Duties

• Perform ABGs (radial/brachial)
• Administer all respiratory treatments
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
• Intubation: RTs assist only (do not perform independently)

Hospital Staffing & Support

• In-house Coverage: Intensivists, Hospitalists, Anesthesia 24/7; eICU at night
• Leadership:
  • Manager: Julie
  • Charge/Supervisor on both Day & Night shifts (assignments, resource support, may take patients)
• Staffing Levels:
  • Days: 7–9 RTs
  • Nights: Drop to 4–5 RTs by 11 PM
  • Travelers will not be the only RT in-house

Equipment

• Ventilators: Dräger V500, Hamilton, ReVel
• Other: V60s, Vapotherm, EPOC

Scheduling & Shifts

• Self-scheduling: Travelers sign up after core staff; must stay flexible
• No block scheduling ; may be asked to trade or rotate shifts
• Shift Times:
  • Days: 07:00–19:30
  • Evenings: 11:00–23:30
  • Nights: 19:00–07:30
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts with preceptor (1 day NICU/General + 1 day ICU)
• RTO: Must be approved in advance

Weekend / Holiday / Call

• Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Days: Saturday & Sunday
  • Nights: Friday & Saturday
• Holidays: Participate in rotation as needed
• Call: Optional; text list for shift pick-up
• Response Time: 30 minutes

Floating

• May float throughout the hospital
• Possible sister facility coverage:
  • Nampa (14 miles west)
  • Boise (10 miles east)
• May be asked to float mid-shift with ≥60-minute notice

Dress Code

• Any scrub color; must be clean and professional

Other

• Radius Rule: 50 miles
