Under the direction of the Business Application Manager the ERP Application Analyst II provides consultation and assistance to users of applications to include analyzing user requirements; designing and developing reports and presentations; troubleshooting and resolving issues; training users; and writing user documentation. Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Evidence of ability to analyze and translate user requirements into specifications and prepare detailed design/implementation documentation. Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning and logical problem solving. Knowledge of application design, build, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of using business applications for collaboration and communication. (Preferred) Experience with ERP solutions like Workday and Kronos business applications. Knowledge of architecture including on-premises and Cloud business applications. Knowledge of agile project management. Ability to advocate for appropriate technology solutions and to continually advance the organization’s readiness and capabilities. Firsthand implementation experience. Master’s Degree in computer-related field. Skills, experience and licensure include tech reviews, analyzing trends, user tech support/training, agile methods like Kanban, ability to coach an internal team, ability to align resources towards a goal. Users in this role may be responsible for Payroll, HCM (Human Capital Management), Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Change Management, Testing Coordination, Data Conversion, Integration, Business Intelligence development. Responsibilities include installing and configuring applications, maintaining, monitoring, and patching existing applications, adding, modifying, and auditing system/user permissions to applications, maintaining appropriate system security levels and continually improving enterprise threat posture, maintaining, monitoring, and auditing applications configuration, backups, and jobs, running application testing on designed programs and providing accurate, quality analyses of new program applications, upgrading and migrating legacy applications, performing application capacity planning, setup, performance tuning and monitoring, participating in purchasing decisions, testing and presales due diligence including tech reviews, detecting and troubleshooting application slowness and resource contention, providing continuous planned uptime and participating in rotating on-call duties, planning and implementation, assisting with application task automation and workflows, understanding the underlying application schema and being a data steward to assist in queries, views, stored procedures, reports, and ETLs, participating in agile team projects, locating potential problems, diagnosing application errors, devising or modifying procedures to solve them efficiently considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, implementing required and approved software applications and assuring the processes required for the business to operate and succeed are running smoothly, developing diagrams and flow charts for end users to follow, preparing reports on the application, writing documentation to describe application logic and corrections as needed, creating any needed instruction manuals or help screens describing installation and operating procedures, maintaining documentation as necessary for operational and security audits, and training and supporting the staff in using the applications. This role will be in the HCM module of Workday.
