Position: Activities Director
Location: Vineyard Post Acute
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking an Activities Director to lead and inspire our residents through engaging programs at our skilled nursing facility.

About the Role:

As our Activities Director, you will play a vital role in creating a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse calendar of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities of our residents.

This management position includes overseeing and directing two team members, ensuring programs are executed with consistency, compassion, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a diverse monthly activity schedule including social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs. Think music, arts and crafts, movie nights, and themed parties.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to tailor programs to residents' interests and needs.
• Use your enthusiasm to inspire and motivate residents to participate in activities that enhance their quality of life. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued.
• Manage, mentor, and support two activities team members, fostering a collaborative and enthusiastic department.
• Coordinate community involvement, special events, and holiday celebrations. Organize special events and celebrations to mark holidays, milestones, and personal achievements, making each occasion memorable.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an activities role in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Creative mindset with a flair for designing new and engaging activities, with the ability to adapt activities for individuals with a range of physical and cognitive abilities.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine love for working with seniors.
• Certified Activity Director (or willingness to obtain certification) is a plus.
