Job Description

  • The Oncology Bioinformatics team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Computational Scientist (Contract) with a strong background in computational biology and/or cancer immunology.
  • He/She will support personalized cancer immunotherapy research.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record in bioinformatics, data science and/or data engineering, preferably in MHC genomics, target and neoantigen discovery and selection.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain bioinformatics and data infrastructure for research projects related to individualized cancer immunotherapy
  • Collaborate with computational biologists, AI scientists and engineers
  • Maintain excellent documentation, and data analysis practices to ensure reproducible data science
  • Present findings to the Cancer Immunogenomics group and collaborators.

Requirements

  • PhD (or master’s with significant experience) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in data and bioinformatics infrastructure (including curation, databases and workflows), particularly for AI/ML projects
  • Proficiency in R, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Experience working with Git and high-performance computing.
  • High self-motivation and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working as part of multiple high-performance teams
  • Preferable experience in complex data analysis and/or modeling in MHC genomics and/or cancer immunology, particularly in cancer vaccine and cell therapy research.
