Associate Recruiting Specialist
Our Talent Acquisition team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional Associate Recruiter. The mission of our Talent Acquisition team is to attract top talent and build a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will have good relationship management and recruiting skills. This individual will be responsible for delivering a positive and efficient candidate experience by demonstrating effective communication skills and providing candidates with accurate and complete information. This role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement. It will be critical for this individual to stay current with industry trends, developments and changes especially related to a high-level talent pool.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with other Recruiters and Hiring Managers to create a strategic recruiting plan to attract top industry talent with focus on diversity
• Build candidate database through effective sourcing and recruiting
• Provide consultation to hiring managers and other stakeholders in alignment with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations as well as departmental processes
• Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers for the creation of job requisitions
• Create and complete requisitions in Workday in alignment with internal processes
• Source candidates for jobs through internal and external tools and resources, social media, job boards, etc.
• Pre-screen applicants
• Extend verbal offers to candidates and negotiate, as needed
• Work effectively with assigned Recruiting Coordinator to ensure that all steps within the hiring and onboarding processes are completed accurately and timely
• As needed, this position may also be required to perform Recruiting Coordinator duties in support of the business
Working Conditions
• Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility. This position will be located in the uptown Charlotte NC location.
• Two days a week will be required in office
• May be required to travel to other locations based on business needs
Basic/Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma with four (4) or more years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, in an HR related program
• Two (2) or more years of human resources experience
• 1 year of full lifecycle Recruiting experience
• Applicant Tracking system (ATS), and CRM experience
• Workday experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills required to address common issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with strong organizational skills
• Experience networking and proactively recruiting various skill sets
• Experience gathering detailed business requirements from customers
• High level user of Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
• Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team setting/collaborative environment
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail
